Because, The Music Band series is greatest mellow funk jazz music War ever made. I understand that must of pure War fans doesn't like this series, I don't know why, maybe disco influences? War's musical style was changed little bit in that time, from Raw funk rock to more stylish, mellow, jazzy funk. Summer, more close to fusion jazz. For me, this version is much better than original version. Great instrumental jam! Both tracks are most stylish, urban soul tracks of War! Very nice song! Since the departure of B.

This 2CD set shows War's musical ability, not just their original raw funk, added mellow, cool feelings of mellow jazzy funk. This is great to hear good sample of light mellow funk of late'70s, and early'80s. One person found this helpful. War at their best. I was searching for the green half of this album for years.

I got two for one. War's disco fixation reaches polyester heights here. Jerry and the crew introduce their fans to a new War, with new members known as The Music Band. Which also happens to be the title of their release. War seem out of touch with their fans considering the flashy costumes and out of focus with their material. The arrival of The Music Band volume 2 by the end of the year just made matters worse.
